    Türkiye becomes most nation which offers most humanitarian help in world

    (MENAFN) Türkiye has always been the nation that offers the most humanitarian help in the world, as shown by information from global institutions, according to the chief of a Turkish foundation.

    Izani Turan, general executive of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), which is linked with Türkiye's Presidency of Religious Affairs, declared Türkiye is going to carry on being the most charitable nation.

    In line with a new declaration issued by UK-based Development Initiatives (DI), a worldwide organization harnessing the power of data and evidence to stop poverty, lessen inequality and rise resilience, Türkiye expended USD5.59 billion in humanitarian assistance in 2021, accounting for 0.86 percent of its GDP.

    Türkiye handed out the highest GDP stock among all assistance donors, followed by the United Arab Emirates (0.21 percent), Luxembourg (0.18 percent), Sweden (0.16 percent) and Norway (0.15 percent).

    "This success has undoubtedly been achieved by the Turkish people's confidence in the state and non-governmental organizations," Turan informed Anadolu Agency.
