(MENAFN) The first vessel shipping the formerly blocked Ukrainian grain might leave port on August 1, Turkish presidential representative Ibrahim Kalin stated on Sunday, as quoted by Turkish Newspaper Star.
Kalin stated that “The first vessel with grain from Ukraine may leave tomorrow morning.”
As stated by the official, numerous ships have already been loaded and prepared for shipping.
He also stated that “There are one or two small problems left, if they are solved before the evening, there is a possibility of going out [to sea] tomorrow morning.”
As mentioned by CNN Turk, the initial caravan carrying Ukrainian grain is going to contain 16 dry cargo ships.
They are planned to reach Turkish territorial waters on August 3, accompanied by drones, furthermore, the passage of the vessels is going to be checked by representatives of the Istanbul-based Cooperative Coordination Center (JCC) through satellites.
