    Transit of commodities through Iran surges by 31 percent in first 4 months

    (MENAFN) The representative of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) stated that deliveries of commodities via Iran saw a rise of 31 percent in the opening four months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22), in comparison with the same 4 months in the last year.

    Ruhollah Latifi mentioned that 4.921 million tons of goods were shipped through the via in the stated four-month period.

    The official underlined that “From the beginning of this year to the end of the fourth month, we witnessed the continuous growth of transit of commodities through Iran.”

    The official has earlier pointed out that after seven years of decrease in the transit of commodities from the nation, the expansion path of transit continued in the last Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20) and with the passage of 12.65 million tons of commodities via Iran, an expansion of 68 percent was accomplished.
