    Shipment from Markazi district surges 9 percent in first 4 months

    (MENAFN) The worth of shipments from Markazi district, in the center of Iran, increased nine percent in the opening four months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22), in comparison with the same months in the last year, a provincial official declared.

    Esmaeil Hosseini, the director-general of the region’s customs department, stated that more than 490,000 tons of goods valued at over USD404 million were shipped from the district in the stated period of time, showing also three percent jump in mass.

    The outputs were shipped to 70 nations, including Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan as well as Russia were the main export destinations, the official stated.

    He named aluminum ingots, types of hydrocarbons, light and heavy polyethylene, tiles and ceramics, as well as petrochemical outputs as the main shipped products through the mentioned period.

    He also declared that 46,009 tons of outputs valued at USD170.203 million were shipped in to the district in the opening four months of the current year, indicating nine percent and eight percent surge in worth and mass, individually.
