21 Iranian firms display products at Russian auto show

(MENAFN) Representatives of 21 Iranian firms are going to display at least 99 automobile parts and tools at MIMS Automobility Moscow 2022 which will take place in August 22-25, as said by an official with the state-run Iran Khodro Company (IKCO).

On the words of Amir-Abbas Farnoudi, as of the Russian auto industry faced penalties by the west, this display is a great chance for Iranian auto parts creators to introduce their skills to the Russian market, in accord with IRIB.

He went on to say that the main target of being part of the display is to create lasting collaboration with Russian car and auto parts creators and stated: “companies were selected to participate in this exhibition that have the necessary technology for producing auto parts or to offer up-to-date technical engineering services so that they can operate directly in the Russian market.”

In agreement with Farnoudi, IKCO has also displayed one of the newest automobiles created by the firm called Tara in this display to test the taste of Russian customers.

“Iran Khodro's goal to re-enter the Russian market is completely strategic and planned,” he added.

“Russia is the fifth largest car consumption market in the world and is one of the most attractive markets, with complexity and intense competition in the region, for this reason, for the last two years, studies, planning, and negotiations have been carried out for Iran Khodro to re-enter this market. And we are in the process of reaching good agreements, which will be announced as soon as the results are obtained,” he continued.
