    Report: Istanbul Airport in 5th spot as world’s busiest in August

    (MENAFN) Istanbul Airport was placed between the 10 busiest airports in the world this month, going from the 14th spot to reach the 5th ranking in a report set by Official Airline Guides (OAG), the world's highest aviation data as well as analysis supplier.

    Istanbul Airport operator IGA stated on Monday that the report which is tiled, Busiest Airports in the World, indicated that the busiest airport in the world stayed Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in the US.

    It was trailed by Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates as well as Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in the US.

    Whereas Tokyo International Airport in Japan was on the 4th spot of the ranking, Istanbul Airport came in fifth spot on the list.

    Heathrow Airport in the UK was ranked eighth, Los Angeles International Airport is in ninth place, and finally Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in France was ranked at 10th spot.
