    TEDPIX ends many days of drops after gaining 7,000 points on Tuesday

    (MENAFN) After many days of drop, TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), jumped 6,944 points to 1.431 million on Tuesday.

    As mentioned in reports, more than 6.603 billion securities valued at 39.085 trillion rials (nearly USD140 million) were exchanged at the TSE.

    The first market’s index gained 5,374 points, and the second market’s index added 13,111 points.

    TEDPIX climbed 20,931 points (0.2 percent) in the last Iranian calendar week (ended on Friday).

    According to reports, 40.58 billion securities valued at 228.555 trillion rials (around USd816.267 million) were exchanged via 1.874 deals at the TSE in the last week.

    The number and value of exchanged securities jumped 30 percent and 34 percent, individually, whereas the amount of deals surged 114 percent in the last week from the prior week.

    TSE is one of the four Iranian share exchanges, the additional three ones are Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), as well as Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, also known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB).
