Iran inks MOU with Nigeria to grow collaborations in energy sectors
(MENAFN) As reported by Shana, Iran and Nigeria have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to grow collaboration in numerous energy areas.
The MOU was inked by Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji as well as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of Nigeria Timipre Sylva in the capital city of Iran on Saturday.
Sylva who took a trip to Tehran on top of a high-ranking delegation was welcomed by Oji at the place of the Oil Ministry to talk about opportunities of joint collaboration among the two nations.
Shipping technical and engineering services to Nigeria, cooperating with Nigerian firms for engineering dual-fuel automobiles, using Nigeria's abilities in the sector of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), improving Nigeria’s oil and gas fields as well as the reconstruction and renovation of Nigerian refineries are between the fields of collaboration mentioned in the MOU.
Speaking at the gathering with Sylva, Oji referred to the avenues of Iran and Nigeria in the energy field and underlined that he hopes that inking such MOUs would open the way for increasing collaboration among the two nations.
