    Turkey’s share exchange closes week jumping to all-time high

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index saw a surge of 0.30 percent to an all-time high end of 3,146.10 points on Friday.

    After opening the day at 3,154.93 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 9.33 points from Thursday's end of 3,136.77 points.

    The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was nearly 2.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD137 billion) by end, with a day-to-day exchange volume of 91.8 billion liras (USD5 billion).

    One ounce of gold exchanged at USD1,740.00 by market end, in line with data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

    Brent crude was selling at USD101.02 a barrel at 11:15 GMT on Friday, recording a 5.28 percent surge from the Monday session that started at USD95.95 per barrel.

    American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) recorded at USD93.81 a barrel at the same time on Friday, jumping 4.64 percent compared to the Monday’s rate of USD89.65 per barrel on Monday.
