KSA’s Female workforce contribution surges to 33.6 percent in Q1
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s overall female staff contribution surged to 33.6 percent in the January-March period of this year compared to 20.5 percent in the same span of time 3 years ago, when most nations worldwide witnessed a decrease in female workforce, as shown by a report issued by the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority, also known as Monsha’at.
In the report, Monsha’at indicated that the female joblessness level in the nation dropped to 21.2 percent in the January-March period of 2022, whereas it was 31.7 percent throughout the same quarter in 2019.
Indicating Saudi Arabia’s success in satisfying the gender gap in the SMEs area, the report mentioned that the nation has 45 percent female leaders in the area.
Monsha’at stated in the report that “Saudi Arabia’s private sector has been a major beneficiary of the influx of dynamic female workers, with many female entrepreneurs grabbing new and emerging opportunities in the accommodation and food, wholesale and retail, health, and professional support service industries.”
