    Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul closes Monday reaching new peak

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index closed Monday at 3,164.96 points, surging 0.60 percent or 18.86 points from last week's end, reaching a new record high.

    The index's worst value throughout the day stood at 3,110.60, whereas its day to day peak stood at 3,174.02.

    The overall market value of the BIST 100 was about 2.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD138 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchanged volume of 63.4 billion Turkish liras (USD3.5 billion).

    Throughout the day, 40 shares on the index jumped, 57 dropped, and the rest was unaffected in comparison with the last end.

    International main Brent crude exchanged at USD99.67 a barrel at 10.08 AM regional time (0708 GMT) for a 0.66 percent surge from the ending price of USD99.01 per barrel in the past trading session.

    American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at USD93.75 a barrel at the same time for a 0.74 percent surge following the prior session ended at USD93.06 per barrel.
