Long-lasting exhibition of Iranian outputs to be hosted in Kenya
(MENAFN) A long-lasting exhibition of Iranian outputs is going to be hosted in Kenya within the upcoming two months, as reported by Tasnim news agency, reciting Iran’s envoy to Nairobi Jafar Barmaki as stating on Saturday.
Barmaki stated that the exhibition is going to be mostly concentrated on presenting construction materials, while also noting that “There are high capacities for cooperation with Kenya in the construction sector, trans-territorial cultivation, and exports of fruit to the country.”
Along with the envoy, the stated exhibition is going to have a website as well on which the information and data around the displayed outputs and services will be shown.
Revealing the procedures taken to develop two-sided ties, he stated that “about two years ago, we were able to launch the Iran Technology House in Kenya, where knowledge-based companies are operating. Fortunately, with the support of the Vice- presidency for Science and Technology, this work has gone well.”
In line with Barmaki, the two nations are determined for the growth of financial relations so that 16 trade delegations were traded among the two nations in the last Iranian calendar year (ended on March 20).
the official also stated that “The Iranian embassy is ready to provide the required information to the businessmen for trade with Kenya and hopefully our commercial attaché will also start his mission in Kenya soon.”
“There are very good relations between Iran and Kenya. Trade relations between the two countries go back to about two thousand years ago. During the last 200 years, we have witnessed the presence of Iranians in Kenya. During the last few years since we resumed diplomatic relations with Kenya, there have been very good grounds for expanding relations,” Barmaki mentioned around the viewpoint of Iran-Kenya ties.
