    Turkish hardware shipments amount to USD10B in January-August

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s hardware shipments amounted to USD9.9 billion, surging 30 percent on an annual basis in the first 8 months of this year.

    The area’s stake in the nation’s overall shipments stood at 6.7 percent in the first 8-month period of this year.

    Cetin Tecdelioglu, chairman of the Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters' Association, stated that shipments of hardware outputs in last month reached an amount of USD1 billion, a surge of 7.7 percent on an annual basis.

    Shipments to the EU nations have totaled USD3.1 billion throughout the opening eight months, surging by 15.2 percent in comparison with the same 8 months in 2021, whereas shipments to additional European nations totaled USD1.6 billion, surging by 15 percent.

    He stated that the major destination of the area’s shipment in the January-August span of time was Germany with USD869 million, while Iraq came second with USD469 million and the US with USD351 million, he continued.

    Tecdelioglu also stated that a hardware fair is going to be hosted in Istanbul in May next year.
