    Iran’s shipment to India rises 35 percent in January-July YoY

    (MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s shipment to India surged by 35 percent in the opening seven months of this year, compared to the same span of time last year, as reported by Tasnim news agency quoting the figures issued by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

    According to reports, Iran shipped commodities valued at USD361 million to India in the January-July period of 2022, whereas the number stood at USD267 million in the same time period of 2021.

    Fruits were the main outputs Iran shipped to India, amounting to 26 percent of the overall shipped items, however, Iran shipped USD96 million of fruits to India in the stated time period.

    Throughout the first seven months of the current year, India’s shipment to Iran has also surged 54 percent to reach USD1.243 billion, whereas the number stood at USD807 million in the same period of last year.

    Rice was India’s main output shipped to Iran in the stated period, as the output amounted for 66 percent of the nation’s overall shipment to the Islamic Republic.
