    Shipment from Markazi province surges 9 percent in first 5 months

    (MENAFN) The worth of shipment from Markazi district, in the center of Iran, jumped nine percent in the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year, as declared by a provincial official.

    Esmaeil Hosseini, the director-general of the province’s customs department, stated that more than 650,457 tons of commodities valued at over USD508.543 million were shipped from the district in the five-month span of time, showing also seven percent surge in mass.

    The outputs were shipped to 71 nations, including Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan in addition to Russia were the major export destinations, the official said.

    He announced aluminum ingots, types of hydrocarbons, chemical products, tiles, glass containers, plastic outputs, and foodstuffs as the main shipped goods throughout the stated time.

    The official also declared that 59,690 tons of outputs valued at USD217.425 million were shipped in to the district in the opening five months of the current year, indicating 19 percent surge annually.
