    IME records USD464M value of commodities trades in one week

    (MENAFN) Throughout the last Iranian calendar week (finished on Friday), 1.977 million tons of commodities valued at over USD464 million were exchanged at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

    According to reports by the IME’s Public Relations and International Affairs Department, the exchange traded on its metals and minerals exchange floor 1.656 million tons of goods worth nearly USD274 million.

    On this floor the IME traded 1,127,146 tons of cement, 304,284 tons of steel, 103,500 tons of sponge iron, 90,000 tons of iron ore, 24,945 tons of zinc, 10,010 tons of aluminum, 5,200 tons of copper, 200 tons of molybdenum concentrate as well as 25 kg of gold bars.

    Additionally, the IME saw on both local and export rings of its oil and petrochemical selling floor 309,826 tons of commodities valued at over USD181 million.

    Commodities exchanged on this floor contained 95,246 tons of polymeric outputs, 105,099 tons of bitumen, 25,000 tons of lube cut, 34,499 tons of chemicals, 4,083 tons of base oil, 1,000 tons of sulfur, 1,050 tons of insulation in addition to 43,680 tons of vacuum bottom.
