    Transit of commodities through Bushehr ports surges 200 percent in first 5 months

    (MENAFN) Transit of commodities through the ports of Bushehr district, in the southwest of Iran, surged 200 percent in the opening five months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year, the director-general of the region’s Ports and Maritime Department, declared.

    Mohammad Shakibi stated that “It is expected that due to the port infrastructure and the development of the activities of transport companies, we will see the growth of goods transit from Bushehr ports.”

    As earlier declared by the chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), shipments of commodities via Iran jumped 25 percent in the opening five months of 2022 in comparison with last year.

    Alireza Moghadasi stated that six million tons of commodities have been shipped through the nation in the mentioned 5 months.
