    Khorasan Razavi records USD453M value of Commodities shipments in 5 months

    (MENAFN) As declared by a provincial official, 813,000 tons of outputs valued at USD453 million were shipped from Khorasan Razavi province, in the northeast of Iran, in the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22).

    Javad Jafari, a representative with the province’s customs department, stated that the five-month shipment shows 21 percent and 34 percent decline in terms of worth and mass, individually.

    He labelled saffron, fresh apples, pistachios with fresh and dry skin, in addition to steel bars as the main shipped items and Afghanistan, Iraq and Turkmenistan as the major shipment destinations.

    The official also declared that 121,000 tons of goods worth USD250 million were shipped in to the province in the stated five-month period of the current year, with 21 percent and 65 percent surge in terms of worth and mass, individually, on yearly basis.

    He labeled mobile phone, wheat and cotton as the main shipped in outputs and United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Tajikistan, as well as China as the major sources of imports in the stated five-month period.
