    Skytrax awards Turkish Airlines with Europe’s top carrier

    (MENAFN) Turkish Airlines on Friday was labelled the top carrier in Europe at the World Airline Awards arranged by air transport rating agency Skytrax.

    Turkey’s national flag carrier, that have flights to more nations than any other, accepted the greatly prestigious Best Airline in Europe award, as shown by a survey which contained replies of over 14 million online customers from more than 100 nationalities from September last year to August this year.

    At the ceremony, Qatar Airways was awarded the World’s Best Airline for the seventh time, achieving the prestigious Airline of the Year 2022 award.

    Singapore Airlines was named the world's second greatest carrier, Emirates came in third, Japan's All Nippon Airways fourth, while Australia's Qantas Airways fifth.

    Turkish Airlines was declared the world's seventh best airline, out of over 350 airlines counted in the survey outcomes.

    Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee Ahmet Bolat stated that “With our privileged service approach, which distinguishes us from our competitors, we continue to take firm steps towards our goal of making the Turkish Airlines brand the best in the world by building on the unmatched service we offer.”

    Skytrax chief executive Edward Plaisted declared that "We congratulate Turkish Airlines for their success at the World Airline Awards, and winning the award as the Best Airline in Europe is a fabulous achievement in what is one of the most competitive markets."
