Turkey targets to resolve structural issues amid 'heterodox' financial strategies

(MENAFN) Turkey, with its "heterodox economic approach," targets to resolve operational issues as well as make itself a vital worldwide provision and manufacture hub in the post-pandemic time span, the nation's treasury and finance minister stated on Thursday.

While giving his speech at the Economic Transformation and New Paradigms conference in Istanbul, Nureddin Nebati mentioned that Türkiye's shipment-oriented viewpoint disposed of the assumptions and claims of the ordinary financial tactic and concentrated on rising investment, output, as well as employment.

Emphasizing that several financial approaches came to occurrence in many time spans in history, Nebati stated that "While mercantilism was dominant, it was argued that the main source of the state's power was the number of its precious metals. In the 18th century, physiocracy argued that the wealth of the country came from nature and agricultural activity."

He also mentioned that the Industrial Revolution at the end of the 18th century caused the appearance of classical financial thought, accepting a free market economy deprived of state intervention.
