TASI closes Monday on higher note due to market cap reaching USD2.8T
(MENAFN) The Saudi benchmark index closed on a green note, after the disclosure by the Saudi Exchange that its market capitalization at the finish of the January-September period of the year soared 8 percent, growing stockholders’ optimism.
Saudi Exchange mentioned in a report that its market capitalization stood at SR10.8 trillion (USD2.8 trillion) at the end of last month, in comparison to 2021.
This arises in spite of the overall worth of stocks exchanged throughout the opening nine months dropping by 21.5 percent from the prior year to SR1.4 trillion (USD billion), whereas the whole volume exchanged declined by 37 to stand at SR35.35 billion, the most recent Saudi Exchange data indicated.
Tadawul All Share Index ended at 11,405 points at the close of the January-September period of this year, dropping 90.44 points or 0.79 percent from the end of last year.
Throughout Monday’s ending session, the Tadawul All Share Index closed 1.05 percent up to stand at 11,607, whereas the similar market Nomu ticked up by 0.68 percent at the close of the session to close at 20,074.
