Turkey ink deal on hydrocarbon, gas with Libya

(MENAFN) Underlining the robust relations among Turkey and Libya, the Turkish foreign minister declared in Tripoli on Monday the inking of memorandums of understanding on hydrocarbon and gas among both nations.

Stating that Turkey has always supported Libya and its citizens whenever it was needed, Mevlut Cavusoglu informed a mutual press meeting with his Libyan equivalent Najla El Mangoush that his nation is going to carry on its backing to Libya with zero hesitation.

Cavusoglu, on top of a top delegation such as Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Donmez, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Trade Minister Mehmet Mus, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and governmental representative Ibrahim Kalin, took a trip to the capital of the North African nation for discussions on two-sided relations as well as regional problems.

Highlighting that Turkey is going to carry on to reinforce relations with Libya near the nation's peace and steadiness, Cavusoglu stated that "The memorandum of understanding on security and military cooperation is an important milestone on the road to stability. We will continue our work within the scope of cooperation to ensure that Libya has a regular army.”
