    Iran ships USD175M value of home appliance in 5 months

    (MENAFN) As declared by the secretary-general of Iran’s Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), the nation’s home appliance shipment reached USD175 million throughout the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22).

    In clarifying the major reasons and aspects for the realization of output expansion in industrial actions, mainly in the home appliances area, Abbas Hashemi stated that concertation to shipments and markets in the area and neighbors is one of the optimistic methods of the administration and the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade.

    As shown by the ministry’s figures, the production of home appliances in Iran surged 7.56 percent throughout the prior Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20) from the year before.

    According to the report, more than 6,273,600 sets of huge home appliances, such as TV sets, refrigerators as well as freezers, washing machines, in addition to air coolers were produced in 1400, whereas the number stood at 5,832,400 in the year before.
