    WB estimates Iranian economy to rise by 2.9 percent this year

    (MENAFN) World Bank, in its most recent financial report on the MENA area, labelled “A New State of Mind: Greater Transparency and Accountability in the Middle East and North Africa”, records the Iranian economy surging by 2.9 percent this year.

    The bank mentioned in the report that “Iran’s GDP is forecast to grow 2.9 percent in 2022. In 2023, the average growth for developing oil exporter is expected to fall back to 2.7 percent.”

    The bank estimates the Islamic Republic’s Account Balance to develop this year amounting to 3.8 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), however, the number reached 3.5 percent in 2021.

    Iran’s Fiscal Balance is also anticipated to surge in 2022, as it is witnessed to stand at– 4.5 percent from – 5.3 percent in the year before.

    According to the report, in spite of the hard worldwide financial situations, most of the nations in the MENA area are estimated to witness some financial expansion in the present year because of surging oil costs.
