Iran inks deal with Bangladesh to solve double taxation, tax evasion

(MENAFN) Iran and Bangladesh have inked a deal to stop double taxation as well as tax evasion to motivate collaboration among both nations’ businesses, IRNA mentioned in a report.

Chief of Iranian National Tax Administration Davoud Manzour as well as the Bangladeshi official inked the deal in Tehran on Monday.

Manzour expressed at the inking ceremony that “The agreement was signed by the parties with the aim of increasing trade exchanges between the two countries and encouraging the private sectors of Iran and Bangladesh to cooperate.”

Previously August, Gholam-Hossein Shafeie, chief of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), asserted that tariff barriers as well as transportation issues were the major aspects delaying Iran-Bangladesh exchange ties.

Shafeie made the comments in a gathering with Iran's new Envoy to Dhaka Mansour Chavoshi.

Throughout the gathering, Shafeie talked about Bangladesh’s suitable financial expansion in last years and considered the future financial forecasts of the nation as optimistic.
