Iran’s natural gas extraction jumps 3 percent, LPG production 18 percent in H1

(MENAFN) Iran’s natural gas output in the first half of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22) surged by 4,000 million cubic meters (mcm) or one percent in comparison to the prior year’s same time span, an official with the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) stated.

As stated by NIGC’s chief of Production Coordination and Supervision Management Ahmad Zamani, sour gas output was risen by three percent in the stated period, whereas an 18 percent jump was accomplished in LPG production as well.

While giving a speech in an NIGC meeting on the obstacles of natural gas provision in the cold season, Zamani mentioned that the renovation program of the nation’s gas services is nearly finished and is going to be operating by the end of the ongoing Iranian calendar month (October 22).

He put the volume of the nation’s natural gas output at one billion cubic meters a day and stated that the output of sweet gas in the nation is right now 840 to 850 mcm a day.
