IMF forecasts Iranian economy rising 3 percent this year

(MENAFN) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecast that Iran's economy is going to record an optimistic expansion of three percent as of this year, after its upward trend for the third year in a row.

IMF, in its most recent World Economic Outlook report labelled “Countering the Cost-of-Living Crisis” posted on Tuesday, expected that Iran's inflation level and accounts balance is going to also develop in the ongoing year.

The international body had put Iran’s inflation level last year at 40.1 percent, also mentioning that not only Iran’s inflation rate is not going to rise in the present year in comparison to a year before (2020), but it is going to reach 40 percent at large, indicating a slight decrease.

The IMF also estimated that Iran’s balance of its present accounts this year is going to double in contrast with the same time span of 2021.

Therefore, the balance of Iran’s present accounts this year had been put at 0.6 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP), the level of which is going to reach 1.6 percent in the present year.
