    Iran: Ministry of Industry, Mining, Trade accepts 73 foreign investments worth USD382.4M

    (MENAFN) The Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade has accepted 73 foreign investment ventures worth nearly USD382.4 million in the opening six months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22), as reported by IRNA.

    In line with the most recent figures issued by the ministry, of the overall amount of investment ventures in the ongoing year’s six-month time span, 93.8 percent was the stake of the industry sector, 2.2 percent was the stake of the mining sector, whereas trade-related ventures contributed in four percent of the entire number.

    Accepted by foreign investment consist of all requests, such as investment to establish additional projects, trading of stocks of current firms, on top of foreign investment in the form of arrangements signed by the sides.

    Out of the 73 cases of foreign investment in the stated industry, 24 cases had 100 percent foreign investment, 34 cases were mutual projects and 15 cases were in the form of civil partnership, joint sale, or build-operate-transfer (BOT).
