    Iran’s Khuzestan ships commodities valued at USD4.2B in H1

    (MENAFN) Commodities worth USD4.2 billion were shipped from Khuzestan province in the southwest of Iran throughout the first six months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22), a provincial official declared.

    Hamidreza Fallah, the acting chief of the province’s Industry, Mining and Trade Department, stated that petrochemicals constituted for the highest share (58 percent) of the province’s non-oil shipment in the stated six-month time span.

    Steel contributed for 13 percent, agricultural outputs for 13 percent, constructional materials for 11 percent, industrial outputs for three percent, as well as handicrafts for one percent of the non-oil shipments from the province in the first six months of the current year, the official also stated.

    The data issued by Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) indicated that the worth of Iran’s non-oil shipment jumped 13.3 percent throughout the first six months of the current year, in comparison with the same span of time in the last year.
