    Turkish share exchange closes Wednesday's session slightly higher

    (MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index went marginally higher by 1.35 points, or 0.03 percent, on Wednesday to close standing at 3,976.36.

    Throughout the session, the worst value of the BIST 100 stood at 3,958.79, points, whereas its highest on a daily basis reached an amount of 4,015.62.

    The index's overall market value was nearly 3.1 trillion Turkish liras (around USD170 billion) by market end, with a day to day exchange volume of 64.3 billion Turkish liras (nearly USD3.4 billion).

    The cost of one ounce of gold reached USD1,677.00, as of 6 PM regional time (15:00GMT).

    International benchmark Brent crude exchanged at USD93.56 a barrel at 09.52 AM regional time (0652 GMT) for a 0.25 percent decline from the ending price of USD93.79 per barrel in the prior exchanging day.

    American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) exchanged at USD87.67 a barrel at the same time for a 0.27 percent decrease following a close of USD87.91 per barrel in the prior session.
