    Turkey, Iran exchange surges 26 percent in first 9 months YoY

    (MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s shipments to bordering Turkey surged by 43 percent to stand at USD2.6 billion in the opening nine months of this year, in line with the numbers previously issued by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

    As Tasnim news agency mentioned in a report, the exchange among Iran and Turkey jumped 26 percent to reach USD4.809 billion, recording higher from USD3.799 billion throughout the same time span a year before.

    According to the announced figures, Iran’s imports from the nation also indicated an 11 percent jump to reach USD2.213 billion throughout the first 9-month time span, against the same period of time in the last year.

    Iran shipped non-oil outputs worth USD1.904 billion to Turkey in the opening six months of last year, as shown by the Turkish Statistical Institute.

    According to the data issued by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Turkey was Iran’s fourth higher export destination in the opening seven months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (ending on October 22).
