Qatar records 126 percent jump in traveler arrivals in September
(MENAFN) Qatar saw expansion in the influx of travelers which has surged the tourism field. With an amount of 150,997 travelers reached two months ago, in comparison with 66,817 in September 2021 indicating a jump of 126 percent as shown by the most recent report issued by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA).
Travelers from GCC nations constituted massively to the robust expansion in tourist influx in Qatar in September. In traveler influx by county, GCC nations make up 45 percent of the overall influxes as the amount of travelers reached 67,315 in the stated month, versus 21,900 in the same month 2021, indicating a rise of 207.4 percent.
Visitors from other Arab nations showed 7 percent of the overall traveler influx as 10,959 visitors reached Qatar from this area in the stated month in comparison with 4537 in the same month last year, indicating an increase of 141.6 percent on a yearly basis and 77 percent on a month on month basis.
