    Iran-Russia business forum set to be held in Tehran

    (MENAFN) Iranian capital Tehran held a great Iran-Russia business meeting at Espinas Palace Hotel on Tuesday.

    Arranged by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), the meeting was joined by a 120-member Russian representatives on top of entrepreneurs and administrators from Iran, the ICCIMA portal mentioned in a report.

    ICCIMA chief Gholam-Hossein Shafeie, Russian envoy to Iran Alexey Yurievich Dedov, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari, as well as leader of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin were between the administrators who joined the meeting.

    Starting the event, ICCIMA Chief Gholam-Hossein Shafeie highlighted the importance for the development of transportation and exchange infrastructure for the growth of exchange relations among Iran and Russia, stating that the establishing of transportation infrastructure, improvement of banking ties, facilitation of the issuance of bank guarantees, in addition to growth of the actions of the green customs corridor are prerequisites for the improvement of ties among the two nations.

    Talking about Iran's main procedure of constructive cooperation with bordering nations, Shafeie mentioned that “In order to create a calm and stress-free environment for business, Iranian private sector emphasizes the use of diplomatic capacities to develop economic and trade relations with other nations.”

    He also declared that the volumes of Iran and Russia to improve ties and mentioned that “The two countries’ major resources and capabilities in various fields such as oil and gas, shipping in the Caspian Sea and general transportation along the north-south corridor, information technology and electronics, petrochemicals, agriculture and food, metals and chemicals, construction and textile materials, pharmaceuticals, technical and engineering services, along with the desire of the two countries for regional cooperation have paved the way for the expansion of bilateral exchanges.”
