Saudi Arabia, Rwanda hold meet to grow coop in digital, technological, innovative sectors
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is ready to grow its collaboration with Rwanda in the digital, technological as well as innovative sectors following a gathering among two of the nation’s head ministers.
The African nation’s Minister of Information Technology and Communications Paula Ingabire hosted discussions around the fields in Riyadh with the nation’s Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Haitham bin Abdurrahman Al-Ohali.
Throughout the gathering, they talked about the factors of growing collaboration as well as partnership in the digital, technological as well as innovative sectors, as said by the Saudi Press Agency.
They also studied methods to improve and initiate ties among the two nations, mainly in the sector of digital economy, as Rwanda is an active member of the Digital Cooperation Organization.
The gathering was also joined by Deemah Al-Yahya, the secretary-head of the DCO.
The organization located its headquarters in the capital of Saudi Arabia two months ago, with Al-Yahya stating at the time that “The decision to establish the headquarters of the DCO in Riyadh is an affirmation of the kingdom’s regional and international position as a hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe, and its status as one of the fastest growing G-20 economies and a leading regional center in technology.”
