    Turkey witness 33.3 percent surge in new firm launches last month

    (MENAFN) The amount of additionally created firms in Turkey climbed 33.3 percent from 2021 last month, as shown by figures issued by the nation’s head exchange body on Friday.

    An amount of 12,443 additional firms were set up last month, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) as indicated by the stated by figures.

    The data indicated a month on month drop of 4.5 percent.

    Between them were 1,651 foreign-partnered or foreign-funded firms, a surge of 31 percent on a yearly basis.

    An amount of 1,706 firms went out of business in October, a year on year surge of 13.8 percent.

    In the first ten-month time span, the amount of firms established in Turkey jumped by 24.9 percent from a year before to 112,026.

    A number of 16,953 firms went out of business in the year’s opening 10 months, a surge of 55.9 percent on a yearly basis.

    In the 10-month time span, 16,775 additional foreign-partnered or foreign-funded firms were established, TOBB data indicated.
