(MENAFN) Startups in the Middle East have achieved their 2022 goals with economic support, growth as well as technological accomplishments.

The region saw startups making achieving big like never before with a surge in funding, cooperation, and output improvement in the ecosystem.

Saudi Arabia’s food technology firm Foodics was at the head of the list of the middle east’s most active startups surpassing all projections and dealing with quick expansion.

Established 9 years ago (2014), Foodics is a Saudi-located food and fintech firm that supplies point-of-sale solutions with hardware and software to grow the food and beverage industry.

Ahmad Al-Zaini, chief executive and co-founder of Foodics, informed Arab News that the firm’s initial acquisition and series C investments phase were the most remarkable accomplishments in 2022.

“This year has been crucial for Foodics,” according to Al-Zaini, “In January, we acquired POSRocket and became the dominant restaurant-tech provider in the Middle East and North Africa region.”

He continued: “This landmark acquisition was a strategic move and one that enabled Foodics to consolidate the market, as well as take market leadership positions in Egypt, Kuwait, Oman and Jordan on top of the dominant position it already has in the rest of GCC.”
