New Governor of Central Bank of Iran holds meeting with Qatari counterpart to improve co-op

(MENAFN) The freshly hired Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Mohammad-Reza Farzin in a gathering with his Qatari fellow on Thursday asserted improving financial and banking collaboration among the two nations.

Farzin held a meeting with Sheikh Bandar to bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani in Doha, Qatar to discuss several economic matters.

In the gathering, Farzin urged for reinforcing tow-sided relation and improving financial and banking collaboration with the Arab neighbor.

Stressing the positive forecasts of financial ties among Iran and Qatar, he stated that “By increasing monetary and banking cooperation between the two countries, we will definitely achieve the goals set for Tehran-Doha economic relations.”

Al-Thani, for his share, highlighted the interest of the nation to surge banking and financial relations with Iran, pointing out that the improvement of banking ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of Qatar’s major concerns.
