    Abu Dhabi holds seventh yearly Global Energy Forum to discuss worldwide energy plan

    (MENAFN) The seventh yearly Global Energy Forum, arranged by the Atlantic Council, has launched in Abu Dhabi.

    Between the senior officials contributing are US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, US Special Presidential Coordinator for Global Infrastructure and Energy Security Amos Hochstein in addition to UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Grant Shapps.

    Hosted as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the event is going to prepare the worldwide energy plan for the upcoming year, together with observing the obstacle of handling energy security significances and decarburization attempts, as reported by the Emirates News Agency on Saturday.

    This year’s meeting is of main priority as critical climate as well as energy strategy problems take center stage in the run-up to the UN’s Climate Change Conference of the Parties, which the UAE is going to hold as well.

    Other attendees such as Ditte Juul Jorgensen, director-general for energy at the European Commission, on top of Francesco La Camera, director-general of the International Renewable Energy Agency.
