Suhail Al Mazrouei: UAE opened 11 clean energy ventures valued at USD43B last year
(MENAFN) The UAE opened 11 environmentally-friendly energy ventures valued at 159 billion dirhams (USD43 billion) last year, according to Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
In a meeting with the Emirates News Agency WAM, Al Mazrouei asserted that the UAE’s clean energy output in 2021 amounted to an overall of 7,035.75 megawatts, whereas underlining the start of the UAE Energy Strategy 2050.
He stated that the nation’s initial unified energy plan targets to integrate the renewable and clean energy mix to reach “a balance between economic needs and climate goals,” on top of cutting reliance on additional fuel sources during the upcoming 30 years.
With the aim of guaranteeing the renewable energy industry’s sustainability, the minister also mentioned that the UAE has applied the most recent innovations that trigger the path of maintainable improvement, pointing out that the UAE was between the initial nations to ratify the Paris Agreement.
