Oman’s economy sees 30.4 percent surges in September 2022 due to oil sector

(MENAFN) Oman’s economy surged by 30.4 percent in September last year on a yearly basis, because of higher oil output, as reported by domestic media, quoting data released by National Centre for Statistics and Information.

The expansion indicator — gross domestic output at present costs— rose to reach 32 billion Omani rial by the closing of September last year, in comparison with the same span of time in 2022.

The NCSI figures mentioned in a report that the jump was mainly because of the advanced expansion rate in Oman's oil actions which rose 72.5 percent on a yearly basis up until the end of September last year.

The figures were derived from the initial edition of the Quarterly National Accounts Indicators report released by NCSI on Sunday.

Production actions also added to GDP expansion, having rose by 65.6 percent by the closing of the July-September period of the past year in comparison with 2021.
