Jeddah Islamic Port welcomes 3 vessel-to-shore cranes aiming to improve port
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Islamic Port has welcomed an additional batch of three vessel-to-shore cranes following attempts to grow working competence of the port, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The additional cranes have been obtained by the Red Sea Gateway Terminal, which is a tactical associate of the Jeddah port as well as the operator of its North Container Terminal.
The cranes assure the Red Sea Gateway Terminal’s determination to advance the terminal’s works in addition to renovate its logistics arrangement.
Previously this month, the Saudi Ports Authority, also recognized as Mawani, declared that Geneva-located global liner operator Mediterranean Shipping Co. has put Jeddah Islamic Port as an additional route to its recent India-West Mediterranean route.
The additional service comes along with the targets of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services that targets to grow the nation’s position as a worldwide logistics center linking three continents.
