    Oil minister establishes refining venture in Hormozgan district

    (MENAFN) Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji payed a visit to the bitumen output and storage unit of Jey Oil Refining Company in the southern Hormozgan district on Thursday.

    The stated unit with the yearly output volume of 600,000 tons and storing of 22,000 tons of bitumen was built with a funding of nearly USD20 million.

    This strategy targets to grow the improvement of output and storage infrastructures in the nation’s main shipment point (Bandar Abbas as the largest export port of oil products in the country) and accordingly raise the stake of shipment and establish a bitumen output and provision base in the south of the nation.

    Also, the executive operations of the strategy to develop the quality of heavy outputs of Bandar Abbas Refining Company in Hormozgan was initiated in the attendance of the minister on Thursday.

    In spite of all the international obstacles like the coronavirus epidemic as well as the U.S. restrictions, the Iranian oil and gas industry has been improving at a quick pace and the nation is reaching additional milestones in this sector each day.
