5.7 percent more people paying for housing in Tehran
(MENAFN) According to a research by the Statistical Center of Iran, the average home price increased by 5.7 percent in the Iranian capital Tehran during the tenth calendar month Dey (which concluded on January 20) compared to the prior month (SCI).
According to SCI statistics, the average price for one square meter of a residential unit in Tehran for the specified month was around 550 million rials (roughly USD1,375).
The average home price increased by 16 percent in Tehran's capital city during the final month of the previous Iranian calendar year 1400 (which concluded on March 20, 2022), as previously published by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to CBI statistics, the average price for one square meter of a residential unit in Tehran during the last month of the previous year was 351.2 million rials (about USD924), up 6.2 from the month before and 16 percent from the same month of the year before.
Due to a variety of internal and external variables, housing costs in Iran have been steadily growing over the past three years.
