    King Abdulaziz Port adds new exporting service connects Dammam port with India, Iraq

    (MENAFN) An additional exporting service has been installed to Dammam’s King Abdulaziz Port connecting it with India and Iraq, the Saudi Ports Authority asserted on Tuesday.

    The India-Saudi-Iraq service was installed by the Bengal Tiger Line, a Singapore-located firm, it also mentioned.

    The new exporting service assured the authority’s target to “improve the maritime navigation network’s connectivity index with international shipping services and shipping lines.”

    This also comes along with the targets and aims of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services to combine the Kingdom’s position as a worldwide logistics hub and a linking center for the three continents.

    The ISI links the King Abdulaziz Port with the Indian port Mundra as well as the Iraqi port Umm Qasr, with a transport volume of 929 standard containers.

    In January, the ports authority accepted five additional exporting facilities connecting the nation with as many as 43 global ports.

    The five additional services are estimated to back commercial traffic, reinforce the national imports and exports system, on top of providing replacements for importers, exporters, as well as shipping agents.
