TASI ends Wednesday’s session with earnings for second consecutive day
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index on Wednesday earned 89.56 points — or 0.89 percent — to end standing at 10,051.78, surpassing Tuesday’s 101.52 points increase recorded following seven days of decreases.
Whereas MSCI Tadawul 30 Index rose 1.03 percent to reach 1,385.96, the similar market Nomu ended up standing at 19,216.88.
TASI’s overall exchanging turnover of the main index stood at SR4.13 billion (USD1.10 billion) as 138 shares of the recorded 224 inclined and 70 declined.
The session’s highlight was the healthy resurgence of the banking and insurance industries, which surged more than 2 percent to 10,542.78 points as well as 5,973.98 points.
The banking industry rise was triggered by Arab National Bank, which shot up 8.6 percent to reach SR25. Riyad Bank emerged as a close second, increasing 5.37 percent to stand at SR27.45.
Saudi British Bank and Banque Saudi Fransi, which zoomed up by 4.98 percent as well as 4.13 percent, were between Wednesday’s highest gainers.
