    Saudi Arabia to create 15 additional plants for medicines, aircraft parts, metal forming

    (MENAFN) Up to 15 additional factories for modern technologies are prepared to be established in Saudi Arabia, in line with the Deputy Minister for Industry and Mineral Resources.

    While giving a speech as part of a dialogue session at the third edition of the International Engineering Conference and Exhibition, Osama Al-Zamil asserted that three of the additional plants are going to be advanced factories for key medicines and medical vaccines, four for assembling aircraft components, as well as eight for metal forming.

    The declaration comes as the national plan for industry is looking to grow the amount of factories in the nation to reach 36,000 factories by 2035, the deputy minister stated.

    Giving additional details of the overarching strategy, he also mentioned that it targets to output up to 800,000 tons of specialized chemicals, as well as additionally grow shipments of advanced technology outputs six-fold.

    The industrial local output is prepared to double to SR895 billion (USD238 billion), with the worth of industrial shipments earmarked to surge 100 percent to amount to SR577 billion.
