(MENAFN) Doha Bank, one of the leading financial institutions in Qatar, has signed an agreement with Bank Al Habib Limited, one of the largest commercial banks in Pakistan. The agreement aims to provide instant, simple, and secure transaction processing services to Pakistani expatriates in Qatar.
The agreement was signed on March 13 at the Doha Bank Head Office in Doha by Gudni Stiholt Adalsteinsson, Acting CEO and Chief Treasury and Investment Officer of Doha Bank, and Qamber Ali, Divisional Head – Business Development Bank Al Habib. The officials highlighted the importance of the Pakistani community in Qatar and the commitment of Doha Bank to serve non-residents from Pakistan.
Bank Al Habib has a vast network of more than 1080 branches and sub-branches in 438 cities across Pakistan. The collaboration between Doha Bank and Bank Al Habib will enable both institutions to offer their services to a larger customer base and enhance their market position.
Qamber Ali, Divisional Head – Business Development Bank AL Habib, congratulated both institutions on this affiliation and emphasized the crucial role of Bank Al Habib in routing remittances through banking channels. Ali expressed his satisfaction in providing their services in collaboration with Doha Bank and announced that these services will be offered free of charge for customers under the Pakistan Remittance Initiative scheme.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Fahad Al Thani, Deputy CEO of Doha Bank, and Braik Ali H S Al Marri, Chief Retail Banking Officer, were present at the signing ceremony, underscoring the significance of this partnership for the two banks and their customers.
