Turkish Airlines Celebrates One Billionth Passenger Milestone

(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Turkey, achieved a significant milestone of flying its one billionth passenger. The lucky passenger was Mustafa Balci, who was flying from Istanbul to Adiyaman in Turkey's southeastern province. As a reward, Turkish Airlines granted Balci one million bonus miles, which can be redeemed for flights, hotels, rental cars, and other parts of a trip through the airline.

Balci expressed his excitement, saying that the experience would be an unforgettable memory for him. Meanwhile, Ahmet Bolat, the chairman of Turkish Airlines' board and executive committee, stated that the airline's goal is to carry its two billionth passenger by 2031.

Currently, the airline has 413 aircraft and flies to 342 destinations, including 289 international and 53 domestic locations.
