    Kermanshah Province in Iran Exports Over USD2.76 Billion Worth of Products

    (MENAFN) According to the official with Kermanshah province's customs department, Ali-Asghar Abbaszadeh, over 6.893 million tons of products worth USD2.76 billion were exported from the province in the past Iranian calendar year 1401, which ended on March 20. The annual export from the province increased by one percent in terms of value and six percent in terms of weight. The major exported items included rebar and ironware, tiles and ceramics, fruits and vegetables, constructional stones, dairy products, plastic products, and disposable containers.

    In contrast, 7.893 million tons of commodities worth over USD55.917 million were imported to the province in the past year, with a 16 percent fall in value and a 69 percent drop in weight, year on year. The main imported products included aluminum alloy, labeling machine parts, production line equipment, filters, and compressors.

    Iran's non-oil exports rose 10 percent in the past year, according to Ruhollah Latifi, the spokesman for the Trade Development Committee of the Iranian House of Industry, Mining, and Trade. A total of 122.056 million tons of non-oil commodities worth USD53.166 billion were exported in the previous year. China, Iraq, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and India were the top five export destinations for Iranian goods in 1401, with China purchasing USD14.584 billion of commodities.

    Latifi further announced that 37.18 million tons of non-oil commodities valued at USD59.655 billion were imported to the country during the past year, with a 10 percent drop in weight and a 13 percent rise in worth, year on year.

    In conclusion, Kermanshah province in Iran exported over USD2.76 billion worth of products in 2022, with an increase in value and weight. The main exported items included rebar and ironware, tiles and ceramics, fruits and vegetables, constructional stones, dairy products, plastic products, and disposable containers. Meanwhile, Iran's non-oil exports rose by 10 percent, with China, Iraq, Turkey, the UAE, and India as the top five export destinations for Iranian goods in 1401.
