    Focus on Quality Improvement, Export Growth in Iran's Horticulture Sector

    (MENAFN) Head of the Agriculture Department of Mazandaran province in northern Iran, Hassan Enayati, emphasized the importance of improving the quality of garden products to meet the demands of target markets.

    Speaking at a meeting of horticulture directors from across the country, Enayati highlighted the need to enhance both the qualitative and quantitative aspects of production. He stressed the significance of Mazandaran's position as a top producer of horticultural products in Iran, urging competitiveness in the sector.

    Iran holds the distinction of being the largest producer of garden products in the region, as noted by Reza Nourani, Chairman of the Iran Fruit Union. Nourani emphasized the necessity of implementing policies to increase exports, citing the country's ample capacities. Despite the challenges posed by water scarcity and consecutive years of drought, Iran maintains its position as the leading agricultural producer in the region.
